4love it now that it's working

We did make the right choice when we got this for our gas cooktop (island mounted). But it was painful getting here: Of course, when it arrived the trucker asks that you look at it to see that it is not damaged; so I took it out of the box and it looked great. Then 3 weeks later when it is installed it starts rattling like its gone mad. So then we called our supplier to figure out how to 1) replace it or 2) fix it ... either way at no charge to us. It was a bit of a hassle, but after about 3 weeks of phone calls (some returned and some not), we finally got it fixed under warranty at no charge to us. What had happened is the 3 spot-welds holding the actual fan to its mounting had all failed and the guy who actually replaced it said that it had been mounted in backwards. It now works great, I love the infinite fan settings (you turn the knob to slowly increase the speed (and sound) of the fan; and when you put it back down and raise it up the next time, the setting will be where you left it the time before - which is great because you don't have to constantly turn the knob "ON." Also, we were able to buy a black top for the downdraft to match our black cooktop and granite ... a really nice feature as it makes the downdraft "disappear" when not in use.
